Summary of the EDDOA Coaches Meeting Thursday - January 17, 2008 held at the Greenspoint Marriott -
Here is a recap of last nights meeting:
1. All league fees are due no later than Feb 3 or run the risk of being in “Bad Standing”
2. March 1st - League play begins. Game will be played March 1st and 2nd, 8th and 9th and the 29th – NO Exceptions. NO games March 15th , 16th 22nd or 23rd.
These are the next round of 5 games. These games determine Cup and fall play(promotions and relegation after these games). These will be played regardless. If older teams conflict with High School, not sure what will happen but would suggest immediately informing either the Boys Commish or Girls Commish,
3. Free Agency is April 1st through April 6th
4. Cup Play – Registration is due March 1st - IN Hand(not mailed March 1st
5. $750 for National Cup and $725 for Presidents Cup
6. April 12th – Cup play begins
7. National Cup – 6 teams and each play 5 game and top 2 go to state
8. Pres Cup – 16 teams – play 3, then 8 teams play 3 then 4 teams play 3. Top 2 go to state(Just like last year)
9. 8 v 8 – next round of games begin March 1 and follow same play dates. There will be games scheduled during cup play since 8 v 8 does not have Cup play. These teams can play cup but have to play 11 v 11.
10. There will be 8 v 8 at U 12 if team wants to . Play 8 v 8 in fall and in spring try to graduate to 11 v 11. Process has not been determined. There is a push for next year at U 11 only 8 v 8.

That pretty much sums up the highlights. They did not say when schedules would be posted but I would start checking everyday because with EDDOA you never know.
