Message from our State Association President
Happy 2009. Resolved: let’s embrace 2009 with a footballer’s full passion. Let’s foster League play, encourage State Cup competition, and accept tournament invitations. Let’s do so with a respect for the beauty of the form and flow of football and with fidelity to the honor of football. We serve as the stewards of football. Form and flow follow from fair play and not from fouls. Let’s let everybody watch us play, and then know, by our example, why we play football. Memorial Cup Draw for Round 3
A couple members of the Board and the Rules Committee helped with the Memorial Cup draw for round 3, which will be played the weekend of Jan. 17-18. See the Memorial Cup tab to the left and check out the draw - let the league office know if you have a preferred time - we’ll try to accommodate requests.
When a Premier team draws a non-Premier team, the non-Premier team has the option of playing standard Sunday match times or playing in the evening at standard Premier times. Again, notify the league office with your preference.
Teams who have already been eliminated from the Cup will play regular season games where possible.
